Shepherd’s Tree Game Lodge is located two-and-a-half hours from Johannesburg in the malaria-free Pilanesberg Game Reserve. The lodge is nestled within an exclusive-use conservancy of this 57250 hectare “Big Five″ reserve. This means that guests staying at Shepherds Tree have the advantage of traversing on both private land and the Reserve’s public roads.

The lodge boasts spectacular views of the bushveld and its location offers the unique opportunity of walking safaris in an untouched wilderness.

DAY 1 

Johannesburg or Pretoria pick up

Your driver will pick you up from your hotel or address in Johannesburg, at 10:00 am, for a 2-hour drive to Pilanesberg National Park. A stop will be made 1 hour out of Johannesburg for refreshments, stretching legs or looking for souvenirs at Traditional Roadside Curio Shops and Craft Markets.

Expected entry time - around 13h00

You will check-in and enjoy a delicious lunch / High Tea with cocktails

Relax at the viewing deck overlooking beautiful plains before you sunset drive begins​​

Your Sunset drive will begin at 16h00.

This will be followed by delicious dinner and cocktails

DAY 2

Pilanesberg National Park

​

  • Your day will start early.  You will depart the lodge at 05h30 for a thrilling morning Open Vehicle Safari Game Drive which will end at at around 09h00. 

  • You will be transferred back to the lodge where you will have breakfast, and relax. You can spend time at the lodge's crystal clear pool next to a busy water hole for grazers such as zebras, kudus and giraffes​​

  • Your Sunset drive will begin at 16h00.

  • This will be followed by delicious dinner

DAY 3

Pilanesberg to Johannesburg

​

our last day will start off with an early morning game drive and delicious breakfast before you exit. 

​Suncity Resorts and Casinos is optional ( included).
